Now Accepting Bike Donations at Purdy Transfer Station

We’re excited to announce that the Purdy Transfer Station is now a collection site for Bikes for Kids. This meaningful initiative provides bicycles to children in need and to homeless or low-income adults who rely on bikes for essential transportation.

Donated bikes are distributed through trusted community partners in the Tacoma, Gig Harbor and other local areas.

We are currently accepting aluminum-frame bikes that are in good, rideable condition. Bikes only are accepted in this program, we can’t take any additional items or accessories. For more information please visit https://www.bikesforkids.us/.

LRI Cares Program

LRI Cares is our company's community outreach initiative, dedicated to making a positive impact through donations, volunteering, and sponsorships. Since its inception in 2021, the program has raised over $220,000 to support local organizations. Our efforts benefit several food banks, including Nourish Food Bank, Good Roots Food Bank, and Gig Harbor FISH Food Bank, as well as the Eatonville Family Agency. We also organize annual collection drives, such as the Community In School Puyallup Snack Drive and WC Bike Build. LRI Cares continues to play a vital role in strengthening our local community through ongoing support and contributions.

March Donation Drive Success for Community in Schools Snack Drive

Our Scale House team went above and beyond this March, raising an incredible $14,000 for the Community in Schools Snack Drive! This generous contribution will directly benefit 577 kids in the Puyallup area and surrounding communities, providing them with essential food, hygiene supplies, and activities during spring break..

Thanks to the combined efforts of our team and the team at Murreys Disposal, we were able to ensure that these children had access to the resources they needed when school was out.

Many children rely on school programs for meals and basic necessities, and our teams’ efforts helped bridge the gap during spring break.

We are proud to support Community in Schools, an outstanding program that works tirelessly to support students in need.
