Making a Difference
Since 2021, LRI Cares has channeled our team's energy into initiatives that matter to the people of Pierce County. We support local food banks like Nourish Food Bank, Good Roots Food Bank, Gig Harbor FISH Food Bank, and the Eatonville Family Agency and organize annual drives like the Community in Schools Puyallup Snack Drive. This is ongoing work, not a one-time effort.
Our Culture Is One of Caring
We go beyond supporting just our customers and our people. We are also fortunate to have the ability to improve the lives of the people and the causes we are passionate about in our communities.

Bike Donations at Purdy Transfer Station
Purdy Transfer Station is now a drop-off site for Bikes for Kids, an initiative that puts bicycles in the hands of children in need and low-income adults who rely on them for daily transportation. We accept aluminum-frame bikes in good, rideable condition. Donated bikes are distributed through trusted community partners across Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and surrounding areas.

Community in Schools Snack Drive
When school lets out, the students who depend on it most are left without meals, supplies, or a safe place to spend their days. Our Scale House team, in partnership with Murreys Disposal, organized the March Snack Drive to make sure kids in the Puyallup area had what they needed through spring break. Community in Schools is an outstanding program and we're proud to support the people behind it.
