Starting October 6th, 2025 the Purdy Transfer Station in Gig Harbor will be under construction for several weeks. This may cause delays navigating the site. 
During this time we are unable to accept boats for disposal. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

It is the mission of Pierce County Recycling, Composting and Disposal (LRI) to provide environmentally sound solid waste disposal and recycling solutions for Pierce county residents and businesses, with the highest level of service. Success in this effort will continue and grow through our relationships with the business community, contractors, commercial waste haulers, regulatory agencies, and the public.

Customers must live or do business within Pierce County to use our solid waste disposal facilities. If you live in Kitsap County, Thurston County or King County, please contact your solid waste service provider or local government for service information.
