Materials Recovery Facility or MRF
Waste Connections offers recovery for a variety of recyclable commodities, including cardboard, office paper, plastic containers, oil, glass bottles, and ferrous and aluminum metals. We own and operate recycling processing facilities (MRFs) that are designed to sort and prep materials for recycling.
10/3/2024-LRI is accepting glass at our drop-off sites. Glass will continue to be recycled within the solid waste system. The main glass processor in western Washington has stopped accepting glass due to the temporary closure of its recycling plant. LRI, in partnership with Murrey’s and LeMay-Pierce County Refuse, have secured an alternative regional glass processor south of Pierce County. This ensures that glass collected within the system is still being recycled.
Contact LRI at 253-847-7555 for questions or concerns.
